In Argentina, after studying in the San Martin conservatory of music, where political and economical hardship influenced the school's curriculum, and in the midst of taking voice workshops in the
'Manuel de Falla' conservatory, Mónica came to the US to pursue her music career. Studying Music Composition and Vocal Performance in Oklahoma City University (OCU, a highly academic school) Monica finished her Junior year and transferred to the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) where she earned the long awaited Performer/ Composer BFA degree.

During her music schooling, Mónica studied voice with George Massey in OCU, and Dr. Jacqueline Bobak in CalArts. Her Composition teachers were Stephen (Lucky) Mosko, and Leo (Wadada) Smith. During her studies in OCU Mónica discovered Conducting as her passion. She studied under Dr. Stephen Coker whom inspired her greatly. Since then, Conducting became an important asset in Mónica's musical career.

A great influence on Mónica when in OCU, was Dr. Frank Lynn Payne (a rebel music prodigy, which is very hard to find these days).

Upon graduating from CalArts Mónica decided to move away from music for a while and chose to study Welding as a radical change. Amazingly Mónica fell in love with Welding, which brought her back to Music along with more creativity and new energy.

Along this arduous and long path, Mónica acquired a strong sense of direction for her music. In her words: "When I hear a piece of music, it's as if I come hungry and I want food. When I can't get 'food' from other people's music, I prepare it myself. This is how I compose my own music… it comes from a deep need. It brings a real purpose for a new piece to be born. This is how music that feeds the soul is created, and when it feeds one soul, it feeds many… all humans share the same type of hunger."

In her private life Mónica enjoys many hobbies such as: Landscaping, Gardening, illustrating, and is an advocate in Goldfish keeping. She loves 'Boton' (her Super-Chinese Shar-Pei). As an animal lover, volunteering in the Wildlife Waystation had taught and transformed her so much that she keeps this place in her heart forever.

Mónica's musical career is blessed with diversity. Apart from being a professional Soprano, she is an experienced Choral and Instrumental Conductor of both sacred and secular repertoire. She has professional experience as a Choral and Music Director in several Churches, at concerts, and musical events.
Furthermore, Mónica is an active Composer and Producer. Together with her Husband, Eitan, they produce music for a variety of media projects.
