The
studio has a flexible and modular design to insure fast work in any direction.
Whether it is recording live instruments, working with samples, scoring, or designing
our sounds from scratch, we have the conventional and unconventional tools to
work with. We are ready to control every aspect of audio synthesis through an
arsenal of hardware, software and programming environments.
Every
project is unique. It can start by a sound vision that would get programmed to
life, or simply by laying a track on the spot.
In the studio we have
a full integration of MIDI and audio. Our main production programs are Cakewalk
Sonar, and Bob Lentini's SAW Studio.
With Sonar we control our hardware MIDI instruments such as samplers and synthesizers,
and our software synths to compose.
when it's time to mix, the data in Sonar
is carefully captured to 24 bit audio files and moved to SAW Studio for stereo
or Surround audio mixing and mastering.
Besides
the traditional ways we also compose using sound synthesis, and programming. We
use sound programming tools such as MAX/MSP, Infinity, and CDP to create sonic
textures from the ground up. With our field recording setup we can also go out
and capture live outdoor sounds to be used as new raw material to create sounds
unheard of. This is an invaluable ability when doing sound design.
