HandheldSound collects and retains data provided by you (the customer) for the sole purpose of delivering your digital goods (paid purchases and/or Freebies).
When you redeem products from us we retain your Email address, first and last name. This information goes into a contact database so that we can let you know about product updates, news or promotions. We don’t arrive at your inbox too often, and it’s only on rare occasions that you’ll hear from HandheldSound more than once every month or so.
You can opt out at any time!
We also provide a way for you to join our mailing list whether you have licenses or not by completing our mailing list online form. Please note that we only ask your email address and name. We do not collect your physical address, phone number or any other personal information for the mailing list.

If you are on our mailing list (MailChimp) we may periodically email you about product announcements, upgrades, and offers. You may unsubscribe from the mailing at any time, although this is the primary way to receive discount offers and announcements from us.
You have the option to create an account on our site to manage purchased products. This is optional and typically requires an email address as your username and a password.
PayPal / Stripe

HandheldSound does NOT collect or retain payment data. All payment processing is handled exclusively via PayPal or Stripe.
HandheldSound has access to your purchase history, which includes only your name, Email address, and billing address.

Facebook Pixel: We use the Facebook pixel on our product pages. This sends anonymized data to our Facebook account indicating purchases, and helps us direct marketing to appropriate audiences. The data sent to Facebook is anonymous and does not include personal or payment information.

Your data is stored in our database, which is owned and operated by DreamHost, a USA-based web hosting company. Our website is encrypted over secure HTTPS with an SSL certificate, and all payment information is handled securely by our payment processors.

The Personal Data collected is used to provide the user with services and to sell digital goods, including payment, digital delivery, and the user’s ongoing access to digital goods. This Website does NOT directly handle or store payment information, as those are conducted by the payment processors themselves and such information is not accessible to this Website to ensure greater security.
We use Continuata as a processor of information to facilitate and manage the downloading of content.

If you created a user account, you may log in to view all your information stored on our server. What you see in this area (email, physical address if any, purchase history) is the entirety of the data we store.
